Business History
Ever since I was a kid, I took apart computers and built new ones (motivated by the prospect of playing computer games). Family and friends would turn to me for computer repair help and after many years of this I decided to consider computer repair as a profession. In 2003, after graduating Auburn High School and starting college, I decided to become a doctor — A PC doctor. I started a business and named it “PC Doctor.” Most of my “practice” involved website work, so I changed the business name to “WA Pages” and focused on website development and SEO (search engine optimization and online marketing). After gaining years of web development and marketing experience, I decided to go back to my roots and put all of that experience into growing my computer repair business. I changed my business name to “Emergency PC Services” and started providing 24/7 on-site computer repair services to the Greater Seattle Area. Shortly after, my friend Paul joined my business as a partner and as an on-site PC technician. A year later, we began looking to open a computer repair shop in south King county. In the summer of 2011, we opened a computer repair shop in Kent, Washington. In early October of 2016, I moved to Kentucky and started providing on-site and remote computer support. My business wasn’t growing as fast as I expected so I decided to temporarily close my business. I was fortunate to get hired by Kentucky State University in early 2017. In November of 2022, I decided to start doing computer repair “on the side” as a hobby to help pay for vacations and other hobbies. Now you are caught up. 😉
